So it turns out there was a Draugr Deathlord and two Death Overlords down there, and they killed the dragon. That was a fucking Ancient Dragon, which is the toughest kind that you’ll find spawning out in the wild. I mean I’ll admit I used Marked for Death on it but seriously, I did not expect them to kill it. The dragon didn’t kill any of them, and it wasn’t for lack of trying. Maybe if it had been the kind to breathe fire instead of frost it might have had better luck.
Still, we waltzed down there after the fact to pick up the soul and the loot, and to kill all the draugr and remaining skeletons. We’ll make a mental note to come back here more often.
Also, here’s a thing I like about Skyrim. The draugr are hostile enemies but they all look different. When you’re running from them and/or killing them all the time it’s not something you’d typically notice but I figured since there were two of these guys that I’d get them side by side and look at them to see if they were the same or not, and sure enough, lefty there is somewhat beardy while the other Death Overlord is not.
The draugr were people at some point in the very distant past, so it stands to reason that they wouldn’t all look the same. I’m glad the developers weren’t too lazy to add details like these.
OH WELL, TIME TO STAND HERE AND CAST SOUL TRAP ON THEM ALL NIGHT
UP UP AND AWAAAAAY~!
