I owe my gas and electric provider nearly £570, which I do not have.

They are threatening legal action if this is not paid by September 26th, which is six days from today. There is no chance in hell that I am going to get this money together in less than a week. 

I also owe my landlord this month’s rent, which is £475, and that should have been paid yesterday. 

This wouldn’t normally happen but I have been signed off work for about three months now due to severe depression and I have only statutory sick pay (SSP) and a little housing benefit to go on each month. I’ve been trying to live as cheaply as possible but I guess the numbers just don’t add up. 

I already owe my family for two lots of rent and although they tell me I can pay them back whenever, it means I can’t ask them for any more help. I’ve just had to lie to my mother on the phone and tell her everything’s fine because she can’t know how badly everything is going for me at the moment. I’m afraid that she’ll blame me for all of this, for one thing, and more than that, I don’t want to get her into the same trouble that I’m in. 

Basically, I’m asking for help. I need a little over £1000 to clear all of this up, at least outside of my family obligations, but anything that anyone could give at all would be a great help to me. 

Just to clarify, my energy company is threatening legal action. They are sending someone here, to my address, if payment in full is not received by September 26th and there is no chance that I am going to have this money by then. If my rent doesn’t get paid, this also has the obvious consequence of my being thrown out of my apartment and I will have to move back to Kidderminster with my family, where there is no work whatsoever, and I am doubtful that I will get the chance to escape that sinkhole again. I will have to give up my cat and everything that I’ve worked for here.

Even if you can’t give anything to help me, a signal boost would be hugely appreciated. I don’t want to just take people’s money for no return. 

One of you already helps me a lot already. You know who you are and I’m so grateful. You pay for most of my food every month. You don’t need to do anything else. I love you and I can’t ask for any more than you already sacrifice for me. 

I know to a lot of you I’m just some ambiguous internet entity that coughs out porn for you every day, and occasionally draws and writes and puts it where you can see it. Most of you don’t know me very well, and I’d imagine you see begging posts like this one all the time, but if you could find it in yourselves (or more realistically, your wallets or your bank balances, I know things are hard for everyone at the moment) to help me along however you could, you’d be making a faceless stranger very happy and giving them a shot at continuing to be independent in a place they’ve come to love.
